At Papa’s House and the Chelsea Education and Community Center, we recognize that psychosocial support is just as vital as food, shelter, or schooling. Our Counseling Services provide emotional care and mental health support for children, adolescents, and families navigating trauma, stress, or transition.

Through compassionate listening and professional guidance, we help build emotional resilience and hope.

What We Offer

  • Individual Counseling: One-on-one sessions for children and youth dealing with trauma, anxiety, loss, or academic stress.

  • Group Counseling: Peer sessions designed to foster support, empathy, and shared growth.

  • Family Counseling: Helping reintegrated children and their families rebuild relationships and communication.

  • Trauma-Informed Care: Especially for children who have experienced abandonment, abuse, or displacement.

  • Referral and Collaboration: Partnerships with licensed mental health professionals, social workers, and educators for specialized care.

Why It Matters

Children who’ve experienced instability or abandonment often carry invisible wounds. Without emotional healing:

  • Academic performance suffers

  • Relationships break down

  • Confidence and motivation falter

By providing accessible, stigma-free counseling, we ensure that every child and woman is heard, valued, and supported.
